REDFIELD ENERGY, LLC TO IMPLEMENT ICM’S THIN STILLAGE SOLIDS SEPARATION SYSTEM™

(Colwich, Kan. – October 22, 2018) – ICM, Inc. has announced that it reached an agreement with Redfield Energy, LLC to implement ICM’s patent-pending, proprietary Thin Stillage Solids Separation System™  (TS4™ ) at Redfield’s plant in Redfield, South Dakota.

 

The Redfield plant has been using ICM’s Selective Milling Technology™  and Fiber Separation Technology™   systems, two value-added platforms that offer important operational benefits to ethanol manufacturing facilities such as maximizing ethanol and distillers oil production while minimizing energy consumption. The FST™ system also allows bio-refineries to clearly differentiate their feed product portfolio by enabling the production of high protein distillers dried grain (Hi-Pro DDG).

The TS4™ technology debottlenecks and improves dryer and evaporator efficiencies by removing suspended solids from the thin stillage stream. This allows for both increased plant throughput and energy savings.

Moreover, this initial TS4™ installation enables our customers to add additional technology to produce ULTRAMAX™  Hydrolyzed Yeast, a value-added feed product based on solids from the sedicanter as part of the TS4™  process. ICM’s initial trials of ULTRAMAX™  production have shown that the product has a value more than six times that of DDGS today, with shadow pricing tied to the value of the yeast.
