ICM Takes On New Wichita Habitat House Plans

(Wichita, Kan. – July 17, 2014) For its twelfth Wichita Habitat for Humanity house
sponsorship, ICM employees were given a challenge. They were asked to build a 1,600
square foot, five-bedroom home for the Lopez family of nine. It’s the first home built with
Wichita Habitat’s new floor plans and design specifications that include a brick façade and
a garage. Homeowners are now also able to choose from different elevation options.

Ann Fox, Wichita Habitat Executive Director lauded the company, “ICM holds its Christian
faith as a core value, and that value is demonstrated in the commitment they make to work
side by side with Habitat partner families to build a home. This year over 135 employees
volunteered over 890 hours to ensure the Lopez family an affordable, energy efficient
home. That alone is remarkable; more humbling is their track record of support; this is the
12th home built and fully funded by the company. Their goodness is without question for
the pure purpose of service with no expectation of return.

Chris Mitchell, President of ICM, Inc. says, “The Habitat build is something ICM and our
employees look forward to each year. It’s a great way for our employees to give back while
also learning more about themselves and co-workers. We believe in the mission of Habitat
for Humanity and the importance of giving families like the Lopez’s a place to call their
own. We are honored to be involved and look forward to more builds in the future.”

Just over two months after the walls went up on the Lopez family’s home, it is ready for
move in. After closing on their mortgage, the family will receive their keys at a dedication
ceremony on July 30 at 11:30am at 18th & Jeanette. The public is welcome to celebrate
with the family and tour the house.
