ICM, Inc., works in partnership with Phoenix Bio-Systems to design, build, and install Bio-Methanators. The skid-mounted modules are pre-fabricated in ICM’s Colwich, KS, manufacturing facility and delivered to your site, ready for installation and piping for clustered, parallel operation.

Known throughout the industry for their superior resource recovery and cost reduction, ICM/Phoenix Bio-Methanators actually remove contaminants from process water and turn them into methane gas. The treated water is recycled through the ethanol production process, saving the plant money in the form of reduced water costs. The methane gas is captured and routed to the ICM dryer burner system as a supplemental fuel source, reducing the plant’s energy costs by tens of thousands of dollars per year.

CORN, LP

Located in Goldfield, IA, this 50 MGY plant was the first coal-fired, dry-mill ethanol plant in the U.S., producing 100% of the steam required to run the plant while saving 1/3 on its energy bills. The plant was constructed in 14 months and began producing ethanol in December 2005, processing 21 million bushels of corn per year. The ICM-designed plant features our dryer system and bio-methanator.
