
Technology Development Intern
Position Purpose
This position requires an articulate, proactive individual who can work independently as well as with other members of the ICM team. The intern will work in the technology development scientist group, shadowing lab research associates and scientists. This is a hands-on opportunity to work as part of a cross-disciplinary team made up of engineers, scientists, and research associates.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
- Perform basic lab tasks as assigned.
- Work to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand.
- Proactively develop and maintain broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in the functional area.
- Operate pH meters, water baths, and other laboratory and pilot scale equipment required by the protocol or requested by the supervisor.
- Keep work area clean and orderly at all times.
- Follow proper procedures and documentation for waste disposal.
- Perform timely data entry into common computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, MS Word, and ICM’s LIMS.
- Perform inventory of general lab supplies.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- High school diploma required
- Must be currently enrolled as a student in a public or accredited private academic institution
- Preferably majoring in chemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, or related technical field
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project, Procore, and Navisworks preferred
- Knowledge of general office equipment

- May be required to work in high, precarious places
