Joint-Development Work
Research and development is at the heart of ICM’s mission to add value to biorefinery operations. Our staff includes more than 50 highly skilled employees, including Ph.D.s, scientists, research associates, engineers and operators, who all collaborate to develop game-changing process technologies that extract the most value out of agricultural feedstocks and improve our customers’ profitability.
ICM’s research and development team has the advantage of working in a state-of-the-art pilot and demonstration plant spanning 35,000 square feet. Our facility is integrated with a 50-million-gallon biorefinery, where we test and prove new technologies on a commercial scale before offering them to customers. Nutritionists play an important role by ensuring that the feed products generated by ICM processes add value to animal diets. We participate in independent trials and studies to objectively demonstrate those nutritional benefits. ICM also performs specialty fermentation services at the facility in support of new agricultural products entering the market.
ICM technologies are customized to deliver exactly what you need to thrive in the marketplace. We work hand-in-hand with customers to make sure they receive a solution that works for them. Along with engineers and project managers, research scientists take part in the collaborative effort to adapt ICM processes and equipment to your unique plant.
